Michael Sturman has been employed by the Charles County Board of Education as teacher and coach in health and physical education for the last 34 years. Michael has been a CPR/FIRST AID instructor since 1989.
In 1989 the school system put in its curriculum CPR and First Aid. Michael volunteered to learn and teach the subject. Michael’s goal was to teach his students how to handle a medical emergency situation which may occur. This education evolved into Michael certifying most of the coaching staff of Charles County each sports season.
Michael decided to extend his services to his community and start his own small business in 1991. Michael’s clients now range from dental offices, day care centers, church camps, dinner cruise ships, lifeguards, construction companies and restaurants.
Some of Michael’s business clients are Neibauer’s dental office, the Spirit of Baltimore cruise line, The Spirit of Washington, The Odyssey dinner cruises, Capital Welding, Millennium construction, and the Rod and Reel. Michael certifies in CPR for the Professional, Adult CPR, Child CPR, Infant CPR, and AED with First Aid.
In 2015 Michael received a certification in the US Business Leadership Network(USBLN) for Disability Supplier Diversity Program and the Supplier Development. In 2016 Michael received a certification for Diversity Division of the Prince George’s County Government Office of Central Services.
Michael received a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in education from Shepherd University in 1981 and a Masters from Bowie State University in 1991.
